Michael Jordan Son Chooses His Dad As Best Man For Wedding To Scottie Pippen’s Ex, Larsa Pippen. Marcus, 32, and Larsa, 49, met reporters this week, and the younger Jordan announced his father’s hoped-for participation without a date or place.

Michael Jordan Son Chooses His Dad As Best Man For Wedding To Scottie Pippen’s Ex, Larsa Pippen. “I was the best man at his and my brother’s weddings, so we’ll keep that tradition going,” Marcus remarked when asked whether his father should toast.

Marcus Jordan says he wants his father, Michael Jordan, to attend at his wedding to Larsa Pippen.

Marcus and Larsa announced their engagement in August by departing Jones in West Hollywood.

“We’re looking for a location,” Marcus smiled.

In recent Instagram images, Larsa also wore a wedding band on her left hand. Larsa posted a selfie of herself and Marcus, 32, holding hands in front of a painting of Marcus’ father’s jersey inside the Trophy Room store at the Jordan family mansion in January.

“That’s what I like, that’s what we like,” Marcus added.

Larsa subsequently said the two were “just friends” after Marcus was first seen at Zuma in Miami in September. Larsa married Scottie Pippen in 1997 after she and Michael Jordan won their fifth of six NBA titles as basketball’s greatest pair. Larsa addressed a video last month in which Michael Jordan laughed and answered “no” when asked whether he liked the marriage.

“I didn’t think it was funny,”

Marcus said his father texted and contacted him to explain that the statement was a jest and that treating it positively may have fostered suspicion that the couple’s relationship arose from his public disagreement with his longstanding former colleague. Larsa was repeatedly assured that Marcus’ family was OK with their relationship, but Michael’s recent comments would have altered public view.

“I was traumatized,” she claimed. “Oh, my God. We’ll do what? People believe I lied.”

Larsa and Marcus’ possible affair emerged months after Scottie criticized Michael in his biography Unguarded for how the documentary presented Jordan. “They lauded Michael Jordan but neglected me and my proud teammates. Michael deserves most of the responsibility, “Pippen wrote.

Producers gave him editorial control over the final result. Doc couldn’t have been released otherwise. He directed and led. However, Michael wanted to show the current generation of followers that he was bigger than life in his day and still bigger than his rival, if not better.

The second segment focused on my rough background and unexpected road to the NBA, but it returned to MJ and his passion to win. I was only a prop. My “best teammate of all time,” he said. He couldn’t have been more condescending.

“Each episode was the same: Michael on a pedestal, his colleagues secondary, smaller, the message no different from when he referred to us back then as his “supporting cast.” We got little recognition when we won but much criticism when we lost from season to season.

Michael could shoot 6 for 24 and have 5 turnovers, yet the loving press and public still saw him as Errorless Jordan. I was in my mid-50s, seventeen years after my last game, seeing us get degraded again. The firsthand experience was insulting.”
