Flavor Flav Orders Entire Menu at Red Lobster After Bankruptcy News. Flavor Flav is helping Red Lobster after its bankruptcy. Public Enemy’s legendary rapper took drastic measures to ensure everyone may eat Red Lobster’s cheddar biscuits.

Due to significant losses from its “endless” seafood deals, the casual dining chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and closed hundreds of stores last month. Flavor Flav supported the eatery on social media after learning of its bankruptcy.

“YOOOO, I use my platform to help others and now I wanna use it to help save one of America’s greatest dining dynasties,” Flavor Flav posted to X, formerly Twitter, on May 22. “Yo @redlobster CALL ME!!! I gotchu.”

The 65-year-old hip-hop superstar finally fulfilled his pledge on June 3 by buying the full Red Lobster meal for his family. Flavor Flav posted photos of a table with seafood, sides, appetizers, and Cheddar Bay Biscuits, classic biscuits with garlic, butter, and cheese.

“He promised to do everything to save Red Lobster and Cheddar Bay Biscuits… ordered the complete menu,” he wrote over the photo of him holding a biscuit in front of the table.

Flavor Flav captioned an Instagram post: “Took my family to @redlobster and ordered the whole menu!!!”

Red Lobster’s official account said, “It’s flavor time, boyeeeeeee!”

When one Instagram user said “venture capitalists destroyed” the 1968-founded chain restaurant, the rapper replied, “Imma save them.” Another fan remarked “it’s a wrap” for Red Lobster, to which Flavor Flav replied, “They ain’t done yet, not if Flav has anything to say and do ‘bout it.”

Another remarked, “Love that cheddar bay biscuit,” and he replied, “Who doesn’t?”

American dining has relied on Red Lobster since Bill Darden and Charley Woodsby founded it. They wanted to make seafood restaurants more affordable for families. The Florida chain’s substantial shrimp and lobster menu made it popular. General Mills bought Red Lobster in 1970, forming Darden Restaurants, which owned Olive Garden.

Red Lobster was sold to Golden Gate Capital in 2014 as Darden Restaurants focused on more profitable chains. Golden Gate Capital sold most of Red Lobster’s real estate to American Realty Capital Properties instead of buying it for $2.1 billion, forcing Red Lobster to rent its locations back.

Red Lobster lost a lot of money on its $20 Ultimate Endless Shrimp campaign in fall 2023. The marketing increased Red Lobster traffic, but more consumers chose the $20 bargain than expected. The seafood supplier reported a $19 million loss from Red Lobster.

Red Lobster estimated its liabilities at $1 billion to $10 billion in its bankruptcy petition. Despite these obstacles, Red Lobster has 700 sites worldwide.

Flavor Flav’s famous love for Red Lobster shows how the brand has shaped American dining culture. He raised awareness of the restaurant’s problems and generated conversations among fans and foodies.

“He said he would do anything to save Red Lobster and Cheddar Bay Biscuits…” Flavor Flav stated he ordered everything.

As Red Lobster struggles financially, celebrity supporters like Flavor Flav offer optimism. This may not make a big difference, but cheddar biscuit and seafood lovers will be happy.
