While performing at the Super Bowl, the “God’s Plan” rapper noticed a fan flashing her phone screen at him with a typed message that said, “let’s f*ck.” Champagne Papi was amused enough to acknowledge the message.
Drake then took the fan’s phone and held it out for everyone in the audience to see before he went back to singing.
He was performing at the Homecoming Super Bowl party.
Drake has dealt with this kind of bizarre fan behaviour before. Last year, he had to get a restraining order against a stalker who sent him intimidating emails. One email even contained threats to kill Drake and his son. A court issued a restraining order against the woman after she was found trespassing on Drake’s property.
Drake had one of the best nights of his career at the Homecoming party. “I can either do my 20 minutes or we could just run through all the old shit. It’s up to you,” he told charged up fans at the arena before he crooned, “God’s Plan,” “Best I Ever Had,” and “Hold on, We’re Going Home.”
According to reports Drake, who is a big time better, had put down $50k on Patrick Mahomes and Juju Smith-Schuster scoring the first Chiefs’ touchdown, and had put down $700 on the Chiefs to win the title. All together Drake put seven bets totalling a massive $965,000. Drake also famously bets on UFC and other sports.
