Serena Williams’ Struggle to Fit Her Bum In Designer Skirt After Second Baby Has Black Women Collectively Nodding In Agreement. Serena Williams recounted a very familiar experience for most women after giving birth to their second kid, when she welcomed her second baby with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, in August.

The tennis champion has been upfront and unrepentant about her latest health journey, exposing her daily routine over the last several months.

On the internet, they’d state, “Serena, you looking Tour ready,” as well as “I wish I had that body of yours…looking that fine after having a baby.”

On January 28, Williams posted a video with the description, “The Diary of a Denim skirt (part 1) #valentino,” on Instagram.

The roughly one-minute video shows her trying on a floor-length skirt from the Italian luxury brand, which she received while she was pregnant with Adira.

The 42-year-old, wearing a blue Nike bodysuit, tried to put the $3,800 skirt over her buttocks, saying, “I can’t fit it.” Honestly, I should have been able to fit it by now,” Williams said. “But I was distracted for about a month.” We still have a ways to go. Houston, we have an issue. Palm Beach, we have a problem.”

She gave birth to Adira in St. Mary’s Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida, along with their first daughter, Olympia Jr., who is six years old.

At the conclusion of the video, Williams wrote, “Back to the drawer for now!” above a picture of the skirt.

Her video earned approximately 200,000 likes, and the comments section was swamped with encouraging and inspiring comments about her figure, primarily from Black women. Others went on to admire Williams’s petite physique. Two commenters said, “Girllllll, that’s the booty people are paying for haha. “Rock it out!” “Congratulations for revealing the truth of post-partum… “Not just the glamourized Instagram version.”

Two others criticized the company, stating that the Valentino size is not suitable for actual women. You’re good,” and “@serenawilliams, if you don’t leave that Pentecostal Valentino skirt exactly where it is!!!!”

Although Williams’ name is seldom mentioned in significant fashion discussions, she became the first athlete to be named a Fashion Icon at the 2023 Council of Fashion Designers of America Fashion Awards in October. This honor has previously been given to Naomi Campbell, Rihanna, Zendaya, Pharrell Williams, and other fashion-forward industry figures.

Williams often attends Fashion Week in New York, London, and Paris, as well as the annual Met Gala, where she dresses in expensive gowns that even her first-born diva Olympia admires. Williams and her husband, Reddit co-founder, revealed her baby bulge during her pregnancy with Adira at the Met Gala in 2023.

They chronicled several of her pregnancy milestones on her YouTube channel, including when she and Alexis informed Olympia she was going to be a big sister, her baby shower/gender reveal, and a grand reveal of Adira’s room.
