A woman on TikTok (@Iamlagenagol) claims she is the biological daughter of R. Kelly and the late Aaliyah — a secret, she claims, she has been carrying for years but she is now ready to divulge. The woman says her given name is “Love.”
“Love” goes on to say, “Okay, y’all, my name is Love. My given name. I am the biological daughter of Aaliyah Houghton and Robert Kelly, R. Kelly. I just want to tell my truth and tell my mother’s truth because I feel like it’s time and it’s needed. I feel like I went through so many things as far as keeping his identity and deliberating with different family members. You know the energy, you guys know how it can get. R Kelly and Aaliyah married in 1994 but the marriage did not last long. Aaliyah Haughton died in a tragic plane crash in 2001 at the age of 22.
People on TikTok, however, were not too impressed with the claims. Replies in the comments section of the TikTok video were mostly negative and disparaging. Many users also commented that they did not see the resemblance.
