The “Rack City” rapper, 33, dropped a whopping $80,000 on a custom-made diamond necklace for the “Complicated” singer, 38, which he gifted to her
New York City-based celebrity jeweler Eric Mavani told the outlet the chain features 50 carats of black diamonds, white diamonds and pink sapphires.
The necklace also has Lavigne’s first name written out, a pair of letter A’s written over pink hearts and two skull heads with crossbones underneath them.
Lavigne seemingly loves her new jewelry and already posted selfies flaunting the chain and was spotted wearing it Thursday night in Los Angeles.
Tyga — born Micheal Ray StevensonStevenson, reportedly asked Mavani to make the custom piece three weeks ago, around the time when Lavigne’s reps confirmed that she called off her engagement to Mod Sun, 36.
“Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple,”
the insider said at the time
The timing is worth noting … because Tyga and Avril started hanging out a lot more when they were in Paris, kissing for the cameras and strolling through the streets hand in hand.
For that appearance, Lavigne and Tyga wore matching, floor-length leather coats over plain black tops, which they accessorized with chain-link necklaces.
Tyga donned edgy leather pants, while Lavigne’s pants featured a cutout detail along the leg. She completed the look with smoky eyeliner.
Tyga and Avril are still in the early stages of dating, and they’re not putting any labels … like girlfriend/boyfriend on anything, at least not yet.
It will be Interesting to see if the expensive diamond gift changes that.
