Heartbreaking incident of a TX woman stabbed to death in front of her kid. According to an officer on the scene Wednesday, they entered the residence after the couple’s kid stepped out and stated, “Daddy is stabbing Mommy.”
“‘When I realised he couldn’t stab me, aunty, I fled,'” Michelle Martin, Simpson’s lifelong friend, recalls telling the child she refers to as her adopted niece.
At about 4 a.m., HPD officers arrived at the victim’s home. Her husband, Michael Simpson Jr., was threatening her and their kid with a knife, she said.
“He could have simply walked away, and to think that was the last thing my friend saw.” “She was literally terrorised to death,” Martin added.
Robin Simpson died at the scene from stab wounds, according to police. Her husband is now facing murder and aggravated assault charges for reportedly threatening their daughter, who was present at the time.
Michael Simpson Jr. stabbed himself and survived, according to authorities. He has been released from the hospital and is now in prison.
Martin is curious about what happened between the time Robin Simpson contacted the police and when the police officers arrived.
“They arrived with barely enough time to rescue him. “I can’t help but wonder if they had arrived five or two minutes sooner if she would have been saved?” Martin inquired.
She went on to say that Robin Simpson confessed that her husband went into a downward spiral after losing his job during the summer. According to Martin, he reportedly withheld this from his wife.
Martin said last Saturday that Robin Simpson told her he was suicidal.
“It wasn’t anything that had gone on during the 12 years of the marriage,” Martin told me. “No, no history of physical abuse.”
Robin Simpson was 49 years old and would have been 50 on November 18. Michael Simpson Jr. is 58 years old.
Martin described Robin Simpson as a social worker, devoted mother, and Delta sorority member.
Martin’s mother was killed while she was a youngster, in a terrible turn of events. She claimed it was inconceivable that her friend’s kid would have to go through the same ordeal.
Martin said that Robin Simpson was her daughter’s godmother.
Martin and others had planned a lavish party to honor her 50th birthday.
“We’re still going to throw her a party.” “We’re still going to celebrate her because I believe that’s what she would want,” Martin said, adding that the victim’s family intends to bury her in Philadelphia.
