T.I. & Tiny Harris File Motion To Dismiss Sexual Assault Lawsuit Due To Expired Statute Of Limitations.

T.I. & Tiny Harris File Motion To Dismiss Sexual Assault Lawsuit Due To Expired Statute Of Limitations. .The couple recently filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against her. Jane Doe filed suit against the couple in January. She claims in the complaint that the Georgia native drugged her after meeting her at a Los Angeles club in 2005.

Doe claimed she was in her early 20s and serving in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Los Angeles when she met the couple. Doe claims she was allegedly introduced to the musician in the VIP section of the club, where Tiny gave her a drink and then took her to a hotel room with T.I. and two other women.

In the lawsuit, the woman says Tiny gave her a drugged drink, then took her to a hotel room where he “forced her to remove her clothes” and then assaulted her, Billboard reported. After the other women left, Doe claims the couple came on to her while she was in the shower, at which point they took Tiny’s clothes.

The Air Force veteran further claims she was “asked” to talk to T.I. She believed she was drugged because she felt “extreme dizziness and lightheadedness” while sleeping.  T.I. and Tiny have filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit with a federal judge in California.

The couple are asking the judge to dismiss the lawsuit “with full reservation,” saying Doe’s “statute of limitations” claim is time-barred.  T.I. (whose real name is Clifford Harris) and Tiny (whose real name is Tameka Harris) also argue that the unnamed woman’s lawsuit “fails to allege facts sufficient to support the allegations in the lawsuit.”  “Here, Plaintiffs should have filed this lawsuit no later than December 31, 2007,  based on the facts alleged in the Complaint,” the complaint states, according to the report.

“Accordingly, this lawsuit filed more than 16 years after the expiration of the statutory period, and 18 years after the facts alleged in the Complaint occurred, is barred, along with all  claims asserted in the Complaint.”

The statement of claim also argues that “there are no facts whatsoever that could justify or revive Plaintiffs’ actionable claims against Defendants based on the 2005 encounter alleged in the Complaint.”

Doe is seeking unspecified damages for sexual assault, battery, sexual harassment, negligence, false imprisonment, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He then took her to a hotel room and raped her.

Previous sexual assault allegations against T.I. and Small the Los Angeles Police Department opened an investigation into alleged sexual assault against the couple in 2021 but declined to file charges, citing the statute of limitations.  Las Vegas police also received a report in 2021 of a 2010 sexual assault case involving the couple. That case was also dismissed because it was reported after the statute of limitations had expired.

In March 2021, attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn said more than 30 women had contacted him, and T.I. Blackburn and his wife were charged with “forced drugging, kidnapping, rape, and intimidation” in at least two states, including California and Georgia. He said the allegations spanned more than 15 years.

Production on the VH1 reality series “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle” was halted due to allegations of sexual abuse. A spokesperson for T.I. and Tiny denied these allegations.
