T-Pain Receives The Legend Award

T-Pain Receives The Legend Award And Talks About New Artists At The 2023 Soul Train Awards. T-Pain has been dubbed a legend despite being just 39 years old. The Legend Award was handed to the Tallahassee-born rapper-producer by his longtime friend and personal “life coach” David Banner at the 2023 Soul Train Awards.

“When I finally got the courage to ask somebody for help with my life, I went straight to David Banner, and the words he gave me in the three hours of us talking, set a whole different trajectory of where my life was headed,” said the winner of the Masked Singer contest and the honoree.

In a sweet moment, he subsequently praised his wife, Amber Najm. “The kind of person I was, the kind of person I’ve become, and to just be there as the same wife and the same woman through the entire thing and be one of the strongest people I know,” he said in his acceptance speech.

“Dealing with the internet, dealing with my flaws and shortcomings, and sticking with me.” I’m still trying to figure out how to cope with T-Pain and Faheem, so thank you, sweetie.”

Before ending his victory speech, he sent a message to aspiring artists. “I don’t want you chasing after this. “I don’t want you to base your life on how many people in the audience can tell you that you can have this,” he said. “I want you to know you already have this.” You are already aware of this. I want you to be who you are without apology.

I want you to be the person you’ve always wanted to be. I want you to be unconcerned with what other people think of that individual. If you like it, I adore it, and I want more.”

T-Pain closed up the Soul Train Awards with a sentimental rendition of one of his songs. He raced through decades of classic jams—without special guests—in 10 minutes: “Got Money,” “Bartender,” “Good Life,” “I’m Sprung,” “Can’t Believe It,” “Chopped N Skrewed,” “Blame It,” “The Boss,” and “All I Do Is Win.”
