Nas, Lil Wayne, Sexyy Red & More Perform At Roots Picnic 2024. In addition to Nas and Lil Wayne, Sexyy Red and Gunna performed at the Roots Picnic 2024. The Roots conducted their 16th annual music festival at The Mann Center in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, on June 1 and 2. On the Presser Stage, rising stars OT7 Quanny and Smino electrified the crowd before Sexyy Red. The emerging artist ended the night with her “Make America Sexyy Again” campaign, playing Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy” and songs from her latest album, In Sexyy We Trust. Her high-energy show ended a great first day.
With a varied roster, festival day two kept the trend. Cam’ron, Wale, Shaboozey, Robert Glasper, Babyface, Gunna, and André 3000 entertained the crowd all day. André 3000, recognized for his unique flair, played his flute and songs from his debut album New Blue Sun to a thrilled audience. He created a unique musical experience with his tranquil and fascinating set.
Lil Wayne and The Roots finished the festival on the Park Stage. They revived his songs “Mr. Carter,” “I’m Goin’ In,” and “Uproar”. Performing “HYFR,” “Steady Mobbin’,” and “A Milli,” Wayne wowed the audience and ended the festival perfectly.
