Jeannie Mai Denies “Gatekeeping” Jeezy’s Daughter And Expresses Concern About The Rapper’s Firearms

Mai denies Jeezy's claim that she is gatekeeping

Jeannie Mai denies Jeezy’s claim that she is gatekeeping their daughter and demands that the rapper safely secure firearms at home. Jeezy’s guns, according to the television personality, had been left “unsecured in the past.”

As before, Jeannie Mai Jenkins has refuted claims made by her divorced husband Jeezy that she is “gatekeeping” their kid from him.

The forty-four-year-old former host of The Real disputes allegations made in late November that she is preventing her 23-month-old daughter Monaco from spending enough time with her father, Jay “Jeezy” Wayne Jenkins, in a new court document made available to the public on Tuesday.

Mai Jenkins’s attorneys reaffirmed in the affidavit that they were concerned about the safety of her kid.

“It is crucial to make clear that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety precautions being taken—like securely securing and locking away any firearms that have previously been left unattended, as well as having familiar and trained caregivers—is not gatekeeping; rather, it is a responsible attempt to put their daughter’s wellbeing first,” the filing stated.

The statement continues, “These requests are reasonable protective measures, not an attempt to restrict Mr. Jenkins’ access to their daughter.

“They are based on Ms. Jenkins’ genuine concern for the parties’ daughter’s safety and security, particularly when under the care of others and traveling across the country.”

The media requested remarks from the representatives of Jeezy and Mai Jenkins, but they did not respond right away.

The television celebrity and Jeezy “agreed upon a visitation schedule through the end of 2023,” according to court filings filed in Fulton County in November. But it was “becoming increasingly less feasible” as things were.

As is regrettably inevitable with all families in transition, “the lack of consistency, continuity, and stability inherently associated with such a haphazard and fluid parenting time schedule is stressful to the Child (Monaco), and it has created unnecessary tension and confusion regarding not only parenting time but also in regard to each parent’s role and rights when the Child is in their respective custody,” the document said.

In a recent filing, Mai Jenkins states that she has provided Jeezy every date he has asked for, along with extra time with Monaco during the Christmas break.

The two ex-partners have been accusing one other in recent months, and Mai Jenkins seems to have implied that her ex-partner was unfaithful in their relationship, a claim he has refuted. A representative for the artist described the assertion as “100% false.”

After two years of marriage, in mid-September, Jeezy filed for divorce from the host of a daytime talk program.

The Grammy-nominated musician stated of the breakup in October, “The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart.” “In spite of this, I still love and respect Jeannie, and I will always treasure the time we shared.”
