Keke Palmer claims that since it is her “career to look good,” people shouldn’t compare their bodies to hers.

On May 10, 2023, in Los Angeles, California, Keke Palmer addresses the audience at “Reel To Reel: Big Boss Featuring Keke Palmer in Conversation” at the Grammy Museum.

Keke Palmer advised against comparing one’s body to that of a celebrity.

Palmer claimed on her podcast that as a public figure, she invests a lot of money in her diet and exercise routine.

Palmer added, “Your journey is your journey,” adding that it was her “career to look good.”

Keke Palmer stated that she believes non-celebrities shouldn’t compare their bodies to hers because of the amount of money she spends on trying to “look good.”

The 29-year-old Palmer underlined that she has access to tools that many people don’t, including a professional trainer, and that she doesn’t want to establish “unrealistic” body standards for her fans. Palmer’s podcast “Baby, This is Keke Palmer” aired on Tuesday.

In the podcast episode, Palmer remarked, “Staying in shape is my job.” Her personal trainer Corey Calliet, who has worked with celebrities like Michael B. Jordan and Khloe Kardashian, is a guest.

Palmer said to Calliet, “Let’s not get crazy – I don’t want people thinking that I am setting unrealistic standards.” “I can afford a trainer, meal prep, and a lot of other things.”

Calliet previously revealed to Insider’s Gabby Landsverk that Palmer works out every workday for one hour, alternating between weightlifting and HIIT exercises.

In order to achieve the ideal ratio of carbohydrates, lipids, and protein to power her exercises, he said, she worked with a meal-prep business.

Palmer said, “I’m happy to pay the steep price to stay in shape.” She admitted that it was pricey but said, “I am investing in my profession because it is my career to look well. It is not even my profession to look nice; rather, I choose the type of career I wish to have.

Palmer, a new mother, has also discussed the pressure many new mothers have to lose weight. Leodis Jackson, a kid they share with her partner Darius Jackson, was born to the actress in February.

Jackson gained notoriety in July when she chose to wear a translucent dress to an Usher event in Las Vegas.

Palmer discussed the idea of “bouncing back” after delivering a kid in an interview with People from April.

“I was just discussing the entire ‘bounce back’ physique issue, particularly in relation to meeting celebrities or business people. Damn, how’d they do it? is a constant thought, she added. Do all you can when you can is the key piece of advice I would give to any new mother, in my opinion.

She answered, “If it’s important to you, whatever it is that makes you feel good, then hell yeah.” Get you any diet you wish to follow or whatever exercise routine suits you. And if that’s not your main concern, then don’t stress about it.

Parenthood, in Palmer’s words, is “a journey on its own.”

As someone who is going through it, you require different things at various points. I didn’t want to do anything for the first few weeks and I didn’t want to talk to anyone, Palmer continued. Then I thought, I should start becoming active. Take it at your own speed as it evolves.
