It is Darius Jackson’s self-improvement.
The ex-boyfriend of Keke Palmer and former collegiate football player posted a video montage of himself working out in the gym on Thursday. The caption stated that he had been baptized.
Darius Jackson Turns to Jesus Amid Keke Palmer Abuse Claims.”I’m not permitted to speak a lot of things that I could say. I don’t even want to say right now. “I will say, though, that God is and will always be your greatest ally,” Jackson wrote on Instagram on Thursday.
Palmer, 30, was given a temporary domestic violence restraining order in November. Jackson is now facing this order.
According to records accessed by the media at the time, the actress was also given interim exclusive custody of the couple’s 9-month-old son Leodis “Leo” Andrellton in November after she outlined many claims of physical abuse in a Los Angeles County court file.
Jackson left Palmer and their baby out of his Instagram comment, but he went on, saying, “I have put my trust, patience, timing & entire life onto [God] so that I can continue to get through the days.”
Jackson continued by stating that “Lord Jesus has been with me throughout & has strengthen me to the point where I am continuing to push forward & not looking back.”
He has shown me love from many people who have sought out, and he has surrounded me with friends and family who have always supported me. And I’m grateful for it,” he went on.
“Very blessed to have repented and been baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus,” the single parent said. But there’s always more work to be done; I need to do so much in order to feel satisfied. The first step was to save myself.”
Then he quoted a Bible scripture, “Acts 2:38,” which says, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Palmer and Jackson’s case was scheduled for a hearing on December 5, but they recently asked to delay the date so that they could “allow the parties time to attend mediation” before then.
According to papers acquired by the media, the former couple agreed in that request that the terms of the first temporary restraining order “shall remain in full force and effect” until that hearing is rescheduled.
Even though the hearing for early December was delayed, a source close to the Nope actress recently informed the media that Jackson’s interim restraining order “remains in full force and effect and will not be dropped.”
The source said that Palmer “agreed to mediation because the case has gotten so much speculation and media attention, and she is concerned about her privacy, Leo’s privacy, and the privacy of her family.” Keke “will continue to protect her safety and the safety of Leo above all else,” the source added.
“If at all possible, she would prefer to settle the matter in private rather than in public court,” the insider said. If that’s not feasible, however, the hearing is still scheduled, and Keke will do all it takes to make sure that she and Leo have a safe and healthy result.”
