Corinne Foxx, daughter of the Oscar-winning actor and singer Jamie Foxx, has lashed out at irresponsible reporting about her father’s illness, saying that her father is doing well and recuperating at home.
“Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support,” the 29-year-old said in her Instagram story.
Fox, 55, whose real name is Eric Maron Bishop, was in Atlanta last month shooting for his next project, a Netflix comedy, starring Cameron Diaz, when he was taken to hospital.
At the time, Foxx’s daughter Corinne Foxx said in a statement that “luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
Speculations grew as the actor’s unspecified medical condition prolonged and he was not heard from for weeks.
However, three weeks after he was taken to the hospital, Foxx released a message to his fan on social media thanking them for their love and support.
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” the message posted to social media said.
This week, once again, unverified reports suggested that Foxx’s family might be preparing for the worst. This prompted another explanation from Corrinne.
