Ice Spice, the breakout Bronx rapper who has shot to meteoric fame during the last twelve months, has joined forces with Nicki Minaj by joining her new record label, “Heavy on it.” The announcement was made on Minaj’s Apple Music Show, “Queen Radio” yesterday where she was joined by Ice Spice. The two ladies talked about their careers, music, and future plans and teased a new collaboration.
The collaboration, a much-awaited remix of “Princess Diana” features an all-pink-themed video shot in a Barbie Dream House set has taken the internet by storm.
Fans were expecting the collaboration as Nicki Minaj has been showing a lot of love on social media to the rising Bronx star. When the Queen’s native Ice Spice appeared on the cover of Dazed, Minaj tweeted her appreciation, “Gag. The People’s PRINCESS [crown emoji]. catch it!!!”
Nicki makes an impressive entry in the song wearing a red wig with a shade-throwing verse that goes, “I be eatin’ my spinach (spinach), they tried to clone my image (image) / They burned they London Bridges (Bridges), none of them bitches British (no).”
The original version of the song was released in January in Ice Spice’s debut album Like..? (EP).
