Black Twitter exploded after a 29-second clip of Michael Ealy and Meagan Good hugging at the Power Players Mix & Mingle event in Los Angeles recently surfaced online and went viral.
Fans were quick to criticize Ealy for embracing her “Think Like A Man” co-star in front of her boyfriend, Jonathan Majors, while awkwardly standing off to the side. In the video, which was allegedly taken at the Power Players Mix & Mingle event in Los Angeles, an excited Michael Ealy pulls Meagan Good towards him, holds her tightly, and briefly lifts her off the floor while beaming ear-to-ear.
Once he has her back in place, he begins to greet those around him happily. However, many who have seen the video believe that Michael Ealy may be purposely ignoring Jonathan Majors` pleasantries.
Footage from the event on Wednesday, July 10, shows Ealy grabbing his girlfriend and squeezing her, lifting her up as she says with a big smile, ” How`s it’s going?”, to which he calmly replies, “I’ve been here too long.” Good says, “I know,” and Ealy walks over to slap Grammy-nominated rapper D Smoke and his wife, Angelina Sherrie.
The group then stops to take a quick photo together. Stories of Ealy flirting with his girlfriend and disrespecting the former Marvel star quickly spread on social media. Concerned users “Looking into his eyes while clutching her shorts is crazy,” one tweeted, while another added, “Opening up someone’s girlfriend’s chest in front of his face is crazy!” Michael really lives his role, wow, a real menace.

Clearing the misunderstanding that was until another clip surfaced on journalist Lauren X-profile, which showed that Ealy had first greeted the “Creed III” actor a few seconds before the video. “Ok, I found the full video of Jonathan Majors, Michael Ealy, and Meagan Good’s hugging moment… “Michael hugs Jonathan first we owe him an apology,” the caption read.
Fans were relieved that no major disrespect was exchanged between the two movie stars. One X user said. “It’s a joke but I hate when people believe lies.” In addition to Think Like a Man and its sequel, the married Ely and Good also starred together in the 2019 film Intruder, so their bond is pretty tight.
