The Former President of the United States, Donald Trump, has called Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime show performance an “epic fail.” Trump described Rihanna’s performance as “the single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history.
Trump took to his site Truth Social soon after Rihanna’s performance and said, “”EPIC FAIL: Rihanna gave, without question, the single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history. This after insulting far more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her foul and insulting language.”
It seems Donald Trump has not forgotten the disrespect Rihanna inflicted upon him when, in 2020, Rihanna posed in front of a spray-painted car that said “F*** Trump.”
Rihanna, 34, a long-time critic of Trump, has had a very public feud with the ex-President since 2020. The multiple Grammy awards-winner singer Rihanna had called Trump “the most mentally ill man in America” and had requested that her songs should not be played at Trump’s “tragic rallies”.
In a famous episode during the Presidential elections, Rihanna took on Trump when he falsely declared victory in the 2020 election. “Count Every Vote We’ll Wait,” Rihanna had tweeted as Trump called vote-counting efforts a “fraud.”
Some politicians were quick to come to Rihanna’s defence. Rep Maxine Waters tweeted that Trump is “just mad because the multibillionaire Rihanna is richer that he is, and also more talent. You go girl.”
Hilary Clinton shared a photo of Rihanna’s Super Bowl Performance, “congratulations to the victor of the Super Bowl — and to all of the players as well.”
