An Alabama police officer is under investigation for a stun gun incident. “I cried after seeing it. All I could do was cry.” Micah Washington’s girlfriend Jalexis Rice responded to the incident footage.

She responds with, “Oh, yeah,” then seems to shock the man with the stun gun to his back and tell him to remain silent.

Officer teases man as he yells out in pain, “You want it again? You were large and bad “Profanely ordered him to stop.

The police approached 24-year-old Micah Washington, who was changing a tire on the roadside with others, according to friends and family.

Reform Mayor Melody Davis and Police Chief Richard Black confirmed the officer’s administrative leave and began a state investigation. The statement said, “The Reform Police Department is aware of a December 2, 2023 citizen arrest video. The department is handing over all arrest materials to the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation and requesting a full investigation.”

Court records cited Dana Elmore as the complainant in Washington’s arrest, but the mayor and police chief did not name the officer. We couldn’t reach Elmore for comment.

Reform, 30 miles northwest of Tuscaloosa, had a mob protesting the disproportionate use of force outside the town hall.

The girlfriend of Micah Washington, Jalexis Rice, said, “She tased him in the back while holding it. She kept holding it till he cried.” Rice said the event happened as Washington and others were changing a tire, and the footage made her cry.

Washington and another person were charged with trafficking fentanyl, but state prosecutors withdrew the allegation on Monday when further testing showed it was not. Resisting arrest, interfering with authorities, and marijuana possession were also charged.

The incident caused an outcry and raised questions about police responsibility. The community wants justice, thus calls for a comprehensive probe into the arrest are growing.
