“Everybody loved that girl,” Breanna added. “Everybody loved her, like she was the life of the party.”

Williams’ relatives don’t understand why she was in Orland Park when her postal job didn’t necessitate her there.

“It’s real tough because we’re all out here just trying to seek some answers, and hopefully, someone will speak up and come forward,” Breanna said. Really, it’s devastating. We’re trying to uncover all that mystery.”

Orland Park residents were shocked and concerned by the violence in their calm community.

“The only thing we received was a notification from the management team, that as soon as they find out more they would share more,” White added.

The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is helping Orland Park Police investigate the shooting.

Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau reassured residents that such instances are rare and that the inquiry is ongoing.

Police are investigating shot casings and other evidence at the scene to determine the shooting’s motive.
