After Brother Bilal, a guy claiming to be Will’s former assistant, said in an interview that the Hitch actor slept with buddy Duane Martin, the pair has replied to the accusation.

“This is a person who tried a shakedown, a money shakedown that didn’t work,” she stated in advance of her appearance on The Breakfast Club on Nov. 16. “We’re going to sue.” Because it’s one thing to have an opinion about someone, and quite another to fabricate slanderous, spiteful falsehoods. That is actionable. So we’ll go with it.”

The Set It Off actor, who recently revealed that she and Will had been separated since 2016, said that the couple is going to “take legal action,” implying that the Oscar winner and Bilal may have disagreed over a business arrangement.

“It’s based around this person’s idea that they, in some way, were doing business around Will’s book, and that they spent money, or what have you, and that they needed to be compensated,” she stated about Will’s self-titled memoir for 2021. “So, he already tried to do this money shakedown.”

Jada went on to say that the King Richard actor finds the entire thing “funny,” noting that he questioned her, “‘Do you believe this s–t?'”

“Because it’s ridiculous,” the Red Table Talk host said. “It’s unfortunate, but you know, we just laughed about it.”

A media outlet reached out to Duane’s and Bilal’s representatives for comment but did not get a response.

Will and Jada discussed Jada’s alleged romance with August Alsina in 2020.

She admitted to having an “entanglement” with August when she and Will were apart and stated, “It was a relationship.” I was in a lot of agony and shattered. That relationship taught me that you can’t find happiness outside of yourself. Fortunately, you and I were both mending in very different ways.”
