Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union Celebrate Christmas with Their Blended Family. Union captioned her photo, saying, “This year, we asked for the gift of family, and we were more than blessed.”
Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union will spend time with their families this Christmas.
The actress and basketball player posted pictures from their Christmas celebrations with their loved ones, which included Wade’s sixteen-year-old daughter Zaya (who he has with his ex-wife Siovaughn Funches) and their five-year-old daughter Kaavia James.
Wade is also the father of two sons: Xavier, age 10, and Zaire, age 21, who he shares with Aja Metoyer.
Wade, Union, and Kaavia are all dressed alike in identical Christmas pajamas as they pose with their two girls in the carousel of pictures that Union shares. The actress also uploaded a video of Kaavia singing before the Christmas tree.
“We asked for and were more than grateful for the family gift this year. “May blessings upon blessings be bestowed upon you and yours. ♥️,” the celebrity captioned the photo.
The basketball icon said in November that it’s essential to make sure his daughter Zaya Wade feels “safe” enough to confide in him, mainly because “most people are more open with their best friends — people you choose than what you’ve been given.”
Regarding his daughter, who came out as transgender in 2020, he stated, “I don’t want just to be one of those people who’s just been given to Zaya, and she doesn’t feel open and confident in me.” “I want to be a sounding board for her throughout life by demonstrating what unconditional love looks like.”
“I think Zaya demonstrates it,” he said, speaking of his unwavering affection. “It’s evident in Zaya all over the world due to her membership in the trans community.”
According to images posted on Instagram, the couple spent the holiday this autumn with their children Kaavia and Zaya, as well as other family members, by throwing a “Wade Thanksgiving” celebration.
Union, fifty-one, captioned her carousel photo with the words, “Grateful for the ones we hold close 💜.”
Wade, 41, said, “My favorite day of the year,” in the comments area.
In a video shared from the event, Kaavia—joyous in a green outfit and red lipstick—spoke in front of the visitors while standing between her parents and said a Thanksgiving prayer.
In the following picture, Union gave a peace sign as she and Wade were posing with Kaavia next to a lit-up “Wade” sign in front of a bush. Wade and his little daughter kissed outside during the celebration as they posed for another picture.
In another video, Union danced outside with other family members as a band played the instrumental to Beyoncé’s “Cuff It.”
