Weight gain in females with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) is common and often frustrating. PCOS disrupts hormone levels, leading to insulin resistance and increased production of male hormones, which can cause weight gain, particularly around the abdomen. This weight gain is often difficult to manage, despite efforts to exercise and eat healthily. Additionally, PCOS can make it challenging to lose weight, as the body’s metabolism may be affected.

It’s essential for women with PCOS to seek medical advice and support to manage their weight effectively and address the underlying hormonal imbalances associated with the condition.

This past year has been a whirlwind for Monét, who attended her first-ever Grammy Awards in February and took home three wins. One of the most memorable moments was bringing her 3-year-old daughter, Hazel, to the ceremony, where she was recognized as the youngest nominee in Grammy history.

Reflecting on her journey to motherhood and the challenges she faced along the way, Monét spoke to PEOPLE magazine about the significance of her daughter’s accomplishments.

“It’s a really big deal. I think it’s another full-circle moment for me because during pregnancy, everything was really scary,” Monét shared. “People were telling me how bad it could be.
