Twitch, the popular live streaming platform, has suspended the channel of English Twitch streamer Kai Cenat for the second time in 2023.
Despite his streaming career only starting in 2021, the 21-year-old has already gained a significant following on Twitch.
In February, he reached a subscription milestone that only two other people have achieved so far. However, his streaming career has hit a snag as Twitch has suspended his channel.
While the reason behind the ban is not clear, past precedent suggests it could be temporary.
“Temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s… terms of service”
A message that appears when visiting his channel says
Kai Cenat has also tweeted: “Banned.”
Twitch streamers typically play video games while chatting to viewers.
Cenat became one of the biggest names in streaming when he broke the subscription records previously set by Ludwig and Ninja, in March.
Twitch users can follow their favourite streamers and creators for free or support them by subscribing or gifting subscriptions to other viewers.
As of right now, there has been no official news regarding what triggered this latest suspension. It isn’t the first ban Kai has faced this year, however.
Before kicking off his subathon stream back in January, Kai received his fourth ban on the platform, making this seemingly his fifth.
Given the friction between Kai and Twitch as of late and the growing list of streamers making the move to Kick—a new streaming site that is positioning itself as a direct competitor—this latest suspension has fueled calls for him to change platforms.
It doesn’t appear that there has been any official news to support these hopes, however, so fans should expect to see Kai back on Twitch once his suspension is lifted. But it isn’t exactly clear when this will be.
