The co-hosts of “The View” have spoken out against Rep. Jasmine Crockett for mocking Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s disability during a speech at a Human Rights Campaign event. Crockett, a Democrat from Texas, referred to Abbott, who is paraplegic and uses a wheelchair, as “Governor Hot Wheels.” The remark quickly sparked backlash from both sides of the political spectrum.
Sara Haines acknowledged Crockett’s talent as a speaker but said the comment was beneath her. For more updates check our Youtube channel.

Alyssa Farah Griffin agreed, stating, “It’s never okay to mock a disability, whether Donald Trump or Jasmine Crockett.”

Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg also weighed in, saying public figures should be mindful of their words.

Crockett later defended herself, claiming she did not intend to mock Abbott’s condition. She said her remarks were about his policies, specifically his actions on immigration. Her chief of staff issued a statement saying the congresswoman never meant to offend Abbott or make light of his medical condition.

Despite her defense, critics pointed out that this is not the first time Crockett has made remarks about Abbott “rolling” places. She previously referenced his wheelchair in a social media post about his visit to the White House. Some Republicans have called on her to apologize, arguing that such language is inappropriate regardless of political differences.

The controversy has reignited discussions on the limits of political rhetoric and whether certain attacks cross the line. Some commentators argue that humor and criticism are part of politics, but personal attacks based on disability go too far. Others believe politicians should be held accountable for their words, especially in an era of heightened political division.

While Crockett has not issued a direct apology, she maintains that her focus remains on Abbott’s policies rather than his disability. However, with growing backlash, it remains to be seen whether this controversy will have any lasting impact on her political career.
