Tamar Braxton Clarifies Sister Toni Refusing To Hold Hands With Chrisean Rock In Leaked Prayer Video. Following the release of leaked backstage performance video featuring Chrisean Rock, Tamar Braxton has come out to protect her big sister Toni Braxton from disparaging remarks from fans.
It was first officially revealed by a media channel, over two months after Rock gained notoriety for reportedly hitting Tamar’s backup vocalist, James Wright, as he left the stage during a guest appearance.
The behind-the-scenes video has now brought Toni to light. In a dressing room, Tamar, Toni, and other crew members could be seen praying hand in hand when Rock abruptly entered and pushed her way between the two sisters.
The “Let It Flow” singer gave the “Baddies West” star a fleeting glance before dropping her head once again and putting her arm behind her back, preventing him from holding her hand for the duration of the prayer.
While many criticized the veteran of the business for not being hospitable to the 23-year-old, Tamar clarified that her sister was unaware of Rock’s identity and that the singer’s health issues also played a role.
I’ve had enough! For me, the queue was coming for my lupus-stricken sister, who doesn’t even go outdoors. How traumatizing this is. Being forced to relive that evening due to a rapacious somebody seeking to market video. I finally have ALL of the videos that you have been waiting for. God is not fond of…
— Tamar Braxton.
“To begin with, my sister has lupus, so she can’t hold or touch a stranger’s hand. “She doesn’t know Chrisean from Adam,” the Braxton sisters’ youngest sibling said.
Subsequently, the ex-cohost of “The Real” voiced her disapproval of the private tape being disclosed to the media. “This is the day,” Tamar said, just as a video of Wright demonstrating that he had really been struck in the face appeared.
A screenshot from photographer Keinon Pierre, who captured the performance, appeared elsewhere in the movie. It said that the clip was made public by either Rodney Atwaters Jr. or Tamar’s ex-friend LeTroy Davis, who was in charge of organizing the tour.
“Your friends sold you up the river for $5,000, James. I’m so sorry,” she added.
In a series of tweets, Davis retaliated against the accusations. In one message, he said, “I ain’t leak nothing.” Davis revealed in another post that Pierre had violated an NDA he had signed, which forbade him from sharing any tour-related video without Tamar’s or her team’s approval.
He added that, having worked with the singer for more than ten years, he anticipated she would have defended him or, at the very least, acknowledged that he didn’t move in that manner. I’ve never leaked anything. She is aware of this, will defend everyone else in the comments, and will stand by everything. But see me as I be humiliated once more—I’m not even trying.
After responding to the most recent information, Tamar let a coworker called Travis explain what had happened before the Rock lost it. The turmoil that has occurred, he said, has its origins in Davis, who is now cut by the squad.
