Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes may be back on familiar ground after escapes to Mexico and Los Angeles this year.
the scandalous former “GMA3” anchors, turned lovebirds, will be among 25,000 runners racing in the United Airlines NYC half marathon on Sunday.
But unlike past years, their names are not flagged on a list of celebrity runners in advance.
So they could be running under the radar.
This year’s field will include notable names such as former Giants legend Tiki Barber, and reality TV stars Andi Dorfman and Peter Weber.
“I’m not sure we technically decided to run together,” Robach, a more experienced runner said.
“I pretty much announced to everyone that T.J. was going to run the half-marathon with me, and then publicly pressured him to join…. and it worked!”
Robach said.
It was Holmes’ very first race. The duo ran the NYC marathon back in November, weeks before their love affair became public and sparked one of the bigger scandals that Disney-owned ABC News has faced.
Sources at the time credited Robach with “saving Holmes on a number of occasions throughout their friendship.”
“He went through a very tough stretch of time, and she gave him things to read, authors to look into, got him into running, and really helped him heal in a lot of ways,” an insider said.
Rumor has it that the couple is also ready to get back to work and are pitching a show together, “like Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.”
“Whatever their ABC deal was is not going to sustain them. They have to work,” the source said.
