Teyana Taylor Responds To “Clickbait” Content And “Salacious Headlines” Regarding Her Divorce Documents From Iman Shumpert Split

Teyana Taylor has never taken her business to the streets or openly checked the media, but she had time yesterday!

The singer-songwriter used Instagram Stories to send an open letter to a media channel. In the lengthy statement, she slammed the digital medium for publishing “salacious headlines” about her divorce from Iman Shumpert.

According to the digital journal, the 33-year-old has urged the court to declare her soon-to-be ex in contempt for failing to keep his promises until their divorce is finalized.

The headline that sent Tey over the edge read, “Teyana Taylor Iman’s Leaving Me, Kids In The Cold!!! Says He Cut House Utilities.”

The “Gotta Love ME” singer expressed her emotions in a furious Instagram post. She wanted to keep the specifics of her divorce private to protect “all parties.” Despite her best efforts, the world still knows about her business.

The actress opened the message, “Y’all are taking it too far with these d*mn misleading headlines, and I’m tired of it!”

She said: “Every time I turn around, it’s either half leaked and made up stories or words twisted up for clickbait.”

“I respectfully requested you all to mind your business. However, you’re still sending out f**kery.”

She also said she has been “graceful, cordial, and protective of all parties involved,” but “sadly, that energy has not been reciprocated.”

“I haven’t spoken to any blogs or anyone else for that matter!!!” she said.

The “Thousand and One” actress’s anguish was evident as she added, “My court documents aren’t clickbait to be used for your salacious headlines!!!”

“Y’all are taking info from my original court complaint (which, newsflash… has to be submitted giving your reason as to why you’re filing for divorce) and other court documents and creating stories,” she said.

The mother of two said that if the source covers her divorce, they must reveal the whole story. Teyana believes that TMZ shows its dirty audience the most juicy and sellable stuff.

“If you mothaf**kas gone be in my business b%tch be in the whole thing, get accurate information and comprehend!” she wrote, before adding, “I can’t stand y’all ass*s!!!!”

The R&B singer emphasized that Iman did disconnect their utilities while she and their children, Junie and Rue, were still living in the house. However, the former NBA player’s idiocy had little impact on them.

The “Wake Up Love” singer stated, “All of my utilities were turned on the same day, and then s**t was removed. “My kids and I will never be sitting ducks.”

The multi-talented diva said that she attempted to keep the divorce proceedings confidential by submitting the documents under their initials.  The public was unaware of the breakup for over a year. She said Iman’s legal team called them out by submitting a motion under their full names.

Divorce may be a very tough journey. Doing so publicly adds misery, especially when your tech-savvy youngster can access the unpleasant information.

Tey seems to be the sort of mother who would never want her children to have an unfavorable opinion of their father, even if he did anything little, such as turn off the lights in their house.
