SHOCKING TWIST: Wendy Williams’ Alleged Alcohol Use Sparks Move to Memory Care Unit

Former talk show icon Wendy Williams has reportedly been residing in the memory care unit of her assisted living facility for months but not due to severe cognitive decline, as some initially speculated. Instead sources claim her transfer was prompted by an incident involving alcohol consumption at the facility’s restaurant.

According to an employee who regularly interacts with Williams, she originally lived on the third floor, where residents had unrestricted movement. However, early in her stay she visited the top-floor restaurant and bar for lunch. When facility supervisors discovered what had happened, they were frustrated that staff had served her alcohol. Concerned about a potential pattern, they decided to relocate her to the fifth floor memory care unit, where movement is more restricted and residents do not have free access to the elevators.

Due to the memory unit being at full capacity at the time Wendy remained on the third floor temporarily. Employees were stationed outside her room to prevent her from returning to the restaurant. To avoid suspicion, staff reportedly told her the restaurant was under construction and temporarily closed. When a room became available, she was officially moved to the memory care floor, where she has now lived for several months.

Despite residing in memory care, a facility source disputes claims that Williams suffers from major memory issues. “Wendy doesn’t have good and bad days. She’s the same all the time,”

Williams has been under court-ordered guardianship since 2022, a legal arrangement that has drawn increasing scrutiny. Earlier this year, she publicly criticized the lack of autonomy, saying: “I am not cognitively impaired. But I feel like I’m in prison.”

For now, Wendy Williams remains in assisted living, and her fate largely rests in the hands of medical professionals and legal guardians.
