In a recent legal filing, Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new accusations of sexual assault, with an anonymous individual, referred to as John Doe, alleging that he was drugged and raped by the hip-hop mogul in 2022. The lawsuit, which was submitted to the New York County Supreme Court on Monday, claims that the alleged victim was subjected to severe emotional and physical harm during the incident.
The incident, according to Doe’s lawsuit, took place in November 2022 after he was spotted performing music on the streets outside a well-known nightclub in Los Angeles. Doe, described as a “young musician” at the time, claims that an associate of Combs invited him to an exclusive A-list birthday celebration at a private residence, where he was introduced to the Bad Boy Records founder.
The complaint further asserts that Combs provided Doe with a drink that was allegedly spiked with drugs.
As the lawsuit claims, Combs promised to help Doe secure a major recording deal. However, after consuming the drink, Doe alleges he became incapacitated, leaving him vulnerable to coercion. He claims that he was forcefully coerced into performing oral sex and was raped during the ordeal.
Doe’s legal team argues that the reason for the delayed report of the assault was due to the power and reputation of Combs, which left the plaintiff feeling shocked, humiliated, and fearful of retaliation. The lawsuit seeks a jury trial and requests compensatory damages for the emotional, psychological, and physical distress Doe allegedly endured.
In response, Combs’ legal team has denied the allegations, insisting on the mogul’s innocence. They stated, “Mr. Combs cannot respond to every new publicity stunt, even in response to claims that are facially ridiculous or demonstrably false.” They maintain that Combs has full confidence in the judicial process and will prevail in court.
