When Joseph approached the 40-year-old lady while she was strolling in the neighborhood of Northwest Third Avenue and 16th Street at around 12:30 in the morning, the arrest report from the Miami Police Department states that the incident occurred.
According to the authorities, she accepted the trip but then attempted to flee when she learned that Joseph was not heading in the direction of the shelter.
According to the police report, he offered her money in exchange for showing him her breasts, but she turned him down and told Joseph that she was “not a prostitute.”
According to the police report, he then proceeded to punch and choke the lady while holding the vehicle door shut. After that, he drove the victim to a separate place.
According to the cops, Joseph made another demand that she reveal her breasts. After she turned him down a second time, he took a revolver out of the center console, ordered that she remove her breasts, and then threatened to murder her by saying, “I’m going to kill you.”
According to the police, the lady accepted, and then Joseph grabbed the woman’s breasts, then her neck, and “pulled her head towards his penis.”
She was ultimately successful in evading capture in the vicinity of Northwest Miami Court and 19th Street, where she then made her way to a nearby gas station before placing a 911 call.
officers in search of Joseph, who lives just outside of North Miami, was apprehended by police on Wednesday near Northeast 10th Avenue and 142nd Street. He is charged with armed abduction, attempted armed sexual violence, and aggravated assault with a firearm, according to the police. Joseph resides just outside of North Miami.
As of Thursday, Joseph was being detained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without the possibility of posting bail. According to the arrest record, Joseph is a citizen of Haiti.
Investigators “believe there are other vulnerable, homeless female victims that may have been preyed upon by (Joseph) offering help to get them to a homeless shelter while wearing medical scrubs type clothing,” according to a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
