We don’t care about the race, the class, the socioeconomic status, the zip code, the religion, the sexual orientation, the identity, no matter where we went, our message stayed the same,” said Parker, who was blanketed by a number of politicians and city officials.

She continued, “And guess what I learned during that time Philadelphia? They were yearning for authenticity.”

Parker was very emotional for the vision of the city where she was raised. Parker was born to a single who was only a teen during her birth. Then she raised by her grandparents, James and Dorothy parker.

Parker served for almost 17 years as Pennsylvania state representative and a Philadelphia city council member. She went to Philadelphia Public School.

“I am not superwoman, I make it look super easy because I have a great village,” she added.

Parker worked as an intern for Tasco in her high school life. Then she became a high school English teacher. During her victory speech, she called Tasco “Boss lady”.

“My life should be a textbook case study on how you turn pain into power,” Parker said.

Parker said that she has a plan to implement more police in order to community policing in Philadelphia street. She also affirmed that zero tolerance will be given in case of misuse of authority. In order to ensure this, bodycam will be introduced as well.

“You won’t be able to go into a store and steal $499 worth of merchandise and just think it’s OK,” Parker stated. “This city needs to feel like it has order. Let’s comprehend this while we’re doing that. We will not tolerate any abuse or misuse of our law enforcement personnel’ authority. They must act as protectors rather than as fighters.”
