Nikki Glaser made her Golden Globes hosting debut in 2025, and her monologue wasted no time in making waves. The 40-year-old comedian aimed a scathing joke at Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing serious federal charges.
Glaser remarked, “’Challengers’ was more sexually charged than Diddy’s credit card,” eliciting a mix of laughter and gasps from the crowd.
She continued by addressing Diddy’s infamous “freak-off” parties, adding, “I’m upset too. The after-party isn’t gonna be as good this year!” Her joke referred to the hip-hop mogul’s ongoing legal troubles, including accusations of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Glaser’s edgy humor didn’t stop there. She turned to Stanley Tucci and compared his Italian cooking series to Diddy’s notorious parties. “’Stanley Tucci freak-off’ doesn’t have the same ring to it,” she quipped. “No baby oil, just lots of olive oil,” she added, causing Tucci to chuckle nervously.
Shifting focus, Glaser joked about actor Glen Powell’s busy schedule. “’Twisters,’ ‘Hit Man,’ my head when I’m having sex with my boyfriend,” she teased, leaving Powell laughing along with the audience.
Timothée Chalamet also found himself in Glaser’s comedic crosshairs. She commented on his distinctive mustache, saying, “You have the most gorgeous eyelashes on your upper lip.” Chalamet, who was nominated for his portrayal of Bob Dylan, appeared amused by the playful dig.
Despite some discomfort in the room, Glaser’s sharp and fearless humor made a strong impression. Her ability to mix topical references with lighthearted jabs proved her comedic skill.
Reflecting on the night, Glaser said, “Comedy is about finding humor in the uncomfortable, and the Golden Globes is the perfect stage for that.”
As her first time hosting the prestigious event, Glaser’s bold approach left no stone unturned, ensuring that this year’s Golden Globes will be remembered for its daring and controversial humor.
