Nick Cannon has celebrated the cancellation of Jada Pinkett Smith ‘s Red Table Talk – and even branded it “toxic”.
The 42-year-old father of 12, who was once married to Mariah Carey, has brutally hit out at the much-loved show.
He even blamed the Meta show for Will Smith slapping Chris Rock in his rant about Jada’s series.
With the company pulling its Facebook Watch originals, which includes Jada’s popular Red Table Talk, Nick seemed pleased about it while chatting on his radio show The Daily Cannon.
Cannon’s co-hosts Mason Moussette, DJ Abby De La Rosa and Courtney Bee obviously did not agree with the television personality as he didn’t hesitate calling it the ‘toxic table.’
“If there was no Red Table Talk, then he wouldn’t have slapped the sh– out of Chris Rock,”
Nick Cannon said
The former husband of Mariah Carey explained: ‘That was royalty, Will and Jada. Then they brought it to the table.
He even went on to slam the memes that were made of Will after a photo of him crying on the talk show while opening up about Jada’s “entanglement” with August Alsina went viral.
“I don’t want to know all this sh– about y’all. I just want to mind my Black-owned business. I don’t want to be up in everybody else’s kitchen. Keep that sh– to y’all selves.”
“Good,” Nick exclaimed in regards to the news that saw Jada issue an apology to fans following the news of the cancellation – leaving his co-hosts taken aback.
Unfortunately for Cannon, it looks like Red Table Talk — which is hosted by Jada, her daughter Willow Smith, and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris — won’t be gone forever.
In an Instagram post made shortly after the news broke, Jada confirmed that they are currently shopping it around to other platforms.
“We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch and we are sorry to see the entire team disband,” she wrote. “We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come.”
Jada added, “We at Red Table are in talks of finding a new home and we’ll see you soon.”
