Melania Trump Criticizes Obamas Over White House Transition

Melania Trump has publicly criticized the Obamas for not providing enough support during her family’s first transition into the White House in 2017. Speaking to FOX & Friends host Ainsley Earhardt, Melania described the experience as “challenging” due to a lack of cooperation from the outgoing administration.

“The information was withheld from us by the previous administration,” Melania said. “But this time, I have everything, and it’s a very different transition.”

Her remarks come as the Trumps prepare to move back into the presidential residence on January 20, following Donald Trump’s re-election. Melania noted that her prior knowledge of the White House will make the transition smoother this time around. She added that she has already made decisions about decor and logistics for the move.

The criticism of the Obamas aligns with ongoing tensions between the two families. Michelle Obama has declined to attend Donald Trump’s second inauguration, citing her unwillingness to be “fake” about her feelings. This decision contrasts with Barack Obama’s recent efforts to appear more unified, including his attendance at the inauguration.

Melania also reflected on her upcoming role as First Lady, saying she is eager to balance her duties with her responsibilities as a mother and wife. “Once we are in on January 20, you serve the country,” she said.

While Donald Trump has described his interactions with Barack Obama as cordial, Melania’s comments suggest lingering friction between the couples. The Obamas have not responded to her remarks, but their decision to maintain distance from the Trumps has fueled speculation about deeper disagreements.

This latest development underscores the often contentious nature of U.S. presidential transitions, especially when contrasting political ideologies are at play. As Melania prepares to step back into her public role, her remarks hint at a desire to address perceived slights while focusing on the future.
