Lawyer Hits Diddy for Trying to “Shame” and “Publicly Expose” Jane Doe Claims He and Bad Boy Associates Raped Her at 17

Lawyer Slams Diddy for Attempting to ‘Shame’ and ‘Publicly Expose’ Jane Doe Accusing Him and Bad Boy Associates of Raping Her When She Was 17. The name of the woman accusing Sean “Diddy” Combs and former Bad Boy Entertainment Holdings CEO Harve Pierre of sexually abusing her as a juvenile will soon become public knowledge if a judge finds in favor of a request Combs filed with the court this week.

In December, the two high-profile individuals were named in a complaint alleging that they “gang raped” Doe in 2003, when she was 17 years old.

The anonymous lady stated that she was initially coerced into sexual activities with Pierre in a Detroit club, “sex trafficked” after being transported on a private aircraft to New York to see Diddy and then offered drugs and booze before the alleged sexual assault took place. The legendary record producer would have been 34 years old at the time of the reported occurrence.

On Jan. 17, the hitmaker’s legal counsel requested to have their motion of objection to the accusations sealed. While the woman’s name is not specified in the motion, Attorney Jonathan D. Davis noted that the “plaintiff has a public-facing identity that could be potentially determined from the content of the Opposition Brief.”

If the request is refused, they have requested that their opposing motion be placed on the public docket.

Meredith Firetog, an attorney for the accuser, issued a statement on X slamming the men for seeking to remove Jane Doe’s anonymity shield, “It is disgraceful that Combs and Pierre would seek to publicly expose the identity of a woman who alleges they raped her when she was a seven-teen-year-old high school student,” Firetog wrote.

Statement from Wigdor Partner Meredith Firetog: “It is reprehensible that Combs and Pierre would attempt to publicly reveal the identity of a lady who says they raped her when she was a seventeen-year-old high school student. ” Combs and Pierre’s only defense to these allegations will be to shame our client, cause her to be saddled with unwanted public attention about a horrific event in her youth, and discourage her from pursuing justice,” she went on to say. “This is exactly why courts allow plaintiffs like Ms. Doe to proceed under a pseudonym, and we will vehemently fight to protect the privacy interests of our client.”

On social media, one individual thought the music veteran’s action was an attempt to dissuade further alleged wrongdoing from coming to light. “Nah, he just doesn’t want us to know all that was alleged,” they stated in the letter. Another Instagram user remarked, “Her identity is irrelevant if the accusations are true. Anyways, I sense a settlement coming.”

In the action, Doe’s lawyers noted that “defendants have indicated that they refuse to consent to Plaintiff’s request” to anonymously pursue her claims. The statement goes on to explain that if the woman’s name were to become known to the public, she would experience “significant psychological harm” from repeating the ordeal in front of the world.

To some, the 2022 BET Lifetime Achievement Award recipient’s increasing legal issues suggested a #MeToo movement in the music business in November. At the time, he was sued by ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura for years of claimed abuse and accusations of compelled sexual encounters with male sex workers for Diddy’s purported voyeuristic amusement.

The exes struck an undisclosed settlement within 24 hours of the accusations hitting the news. Soon, the disgraced entrepreneur was named in another claim by Joi Dickerson-Neal. The lady claimed that she and her buddy were raped simultaneously by Diddy and singer Aaron Hall.
