Kim Kardashian may be gearing up for a legal showdown with her ex-husband Kanye West over the custody of their children and the drama is intensifying by the day. According to a report Kim is seriously considering stripping Kanye of his joint custody rights after he blatantly disregarded their legal agreement and involved their daughter North West in his latest musical project.
The controversy erupted after Kanye dropped a track titled “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine” featuring North 11 rapping a clear violation of the agreement he had reached with Kim. As per their divorce settlement the former couple had gone through mediation to ensure that North would not be included in any of Kanye’s musical projects.
To make matters even more explosive, the song also includes a conversation between Kanye and Sean Diddy Combs, who is currently behind the bars facing grave allegations including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. In the track Diddy expresses gratitude toward Kanye for ooking out for his kids to which Kanye emotionally responds claiming Diddy raised him even before they had met.
Kim, now 44, has always been adamant that North should not be used as a pawn in Kanye’s creative endeavors. Their divorce settlement mandates that they share equal decision-making power over their four children North Saint, Chicago, and Psalm that any disagreements should be resolved through private mediation before escalating to court. However Kanye’s latest actions including a defiant post on X stating, “THE MAN MAKES THE FINAL DECISION,” suggest he is unwilling to abide by their arrangement.
Sources close to Kim reveal that while she wants her children to maintain a relationship with their father she is increasingly worried about protecting them from Kanye’s erratic decision making.
Now, Kim may have no choice but to take the battle to court. If she moves forward, this could become one of the most high-profile celebrity custody disputes in recent history.
