Khloé Kardashian Opens Up About Exhaustion and Joy of Solo Parenting: “I’m Crawling to Bed”. In a surprising revelation, Khloé Kardashian has opened up about the realities of solo parenting, shedding light on the challenges she faces as the primary caregiver for her two young children, True and Tatum. Despite the common perception that celebrities enjoy unlimited childcare support, Khloé’s candid admission reveals a different side of her glamorous life.
During a recent episode of The Kardashians, Khloé shared her concerns and struggles with her sister Kourtney. The conversation began with Khloé explaining why she chose not to attend Paris Fashion Week, a major event in the fashion calendar.
“I just didn’t feel like it was the place for me. I was just getting anxious leaving the kids. Tristan’s gone and it’s hard for me to leave them,”
Khloé said, referring to her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson, who currently plays basketball for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Khloé’s anxiety about leaving her children is something many parents can relate to. She voiced typical single-parent concerns, saying, “I don’t have a parent to stay with them and then I was thinking, the whole family is out of the country. I was like, what if there’s an earthquake? What if there’s something and there’s no parent? So I was just freaking myself out.”
This level of worry and commitment to her children’s well-being is indicative of Khloé’s hands-on approach to parenting. Despite the resources available to her, Khloé prefers to handle most of the childcare herself. She revealed to Kourtney that she doesn’t have nannies at night and is considering changing that due to the sheer exhaustion she faces.
“I don’t have nannies at night, which I might have to change or at least have someone be available sometimes,” Khloé admitted. This revelation left Kourtney visibly surprised, prompting her to ask, “So no one then lives in right now?” Khloé confirmed, “No. And I’m just so hands-on. It’s like cool half the time, but I make all of her lunches, I make her dinners, I do everything. I don’t let anyone else do it. Tristan has done it but I’m so particular.”
The reality star’s dedication to her children is admirable, yet it comes with a high price. During a confessional segment, Khloé elaborated on the toll that this level of involvement takes on her. “Every day after 8:30, when True’s asleep, I am, like, crawling. Like I’m Leonardo DiCaprio out of Wolf of Wall Street to my bed, like, how do I get there? Then you wake up again and you do it all,” she said.
Despite the exhaustion, Khloé finds joy and fulfillment in her role as a mother. She expressed the paradoxical nature of her feelings, saying, “But it’s amazing. Like at the same time, it’s like all you want. It’s the weirdest thing. Because you’re exhausted and you’re like I’m gonna die and then literally when they’re asleep by 10, I’m like I miss them. Like get it together Khloé, snap out of it.”
Khloé’s honest account of her experiences challenges the common perception that celebrity parents have it easy. Her commitment to being present and involved in her children’s lives highlights the universal struggles and joys of parenting. It’s a reminder that behind the glitz and glamour, even celebrities face the same daily challenges as other parents.
As Khloé continues to navigate the demands of solo parenting, her story resonates with many, offering a glimpse into the realities of balancing career, personal life, and the joys and struggles of raising children. Her openness about her exhaustion and joy serves as an inspiration to parents everywhere, proving that no matter the circumstances, the love and dedication to one’s children is a universal experience.
