Kendrick Lamar has broken Drake’s record of the highest-grossing rap tour in history. His “Big Stepper Tour” has raked in a massive $110 million in revenue.
The tour began in late July with initial shows in North America and later ran through the months of October, November, and December in the US, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Lamar was assisted by proteges Tanna Leone and Baby Keem.
The tour sold 929,000 tickets across 73 shoes, earning $110.9 million. The tour followed Lamar’s fifth album “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers.” The tour broke the record for Drake’s Aubrey & the Three Migos.
According to Touring Data, at the number 3 slot in Top Rap Tour in History, is Drake and Future’s “Summer Sixteen” followed by Kanye West and Jay-Z’s “Watch the Throne” at number 4.
Dave Free and Mike Carson were the creative directors for the tour. Helen Mirren served as the narrator.
Drake and The Three Migos grossed $79 million in 2018 by selling 678,410 tickets across 43 dates.
