Kanye West’s Sexual Assault Case Delayed Again as Rapper Allegedly Avoids Court While Staying in Japan

Kanye West, the controversial rapper and entrepreneur, is facing serious legal allegations from his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta. Initially, Pisciotta filed a lawsuit against West in June 2024, citing sexual harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination. However, the case has since escalated with even more disturbing claims.

Months after her initial filing, Pisciotta accused West of drugging and sexually assaulting her during a studio session allegedly co-hosted by music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

Despite the gravity of these accusations, West has vehemently denied all claims, dismissing them as “baseless” through a third party. Interestingly, reports suggest that the rapper has yet to hire legal representation to formally address the lawsuit.

Court documents reveal that the hearing originally set for January 29 has been postponed to March 27.

The delay reportedly aims to ensure all defendants are properly served, proof of service is filed, and any unresponsive defendants are pursued legally.

Pisciotta’s legal team, frustrated by their inability to serve West personally, has now requested the court’s permission to notify him via a newspaper announcement. Despite conducting what they describe as an “extensive investigation,” they claim to have been unsuccessful in locating him for formal service.

The lawsuit against West is not an isolated case. Several former employees have also taken legal action against him in separate civil suits. According to Pisciotta’s attorneys, West appears to be actively avoiding legal consequences, either by remaining outside the country or deliberately evading service.

In recent months, West has reportedly relocated from Los Angeles to Tokyo, where he was recently seen reuniting with his children. While in Japan, the rapper has noticeably avoided public attention, declining fans’ selfie requests and maintaining a low profile.

This sudden move follows his purchase of a lavish $35 million Beverly Hills mansion, which he has since abandoned. Reports indicate that multiple properties linked to West are now accumulating substantial tax penalties due to unpaid obligations.
