Kanye West Sabotaged Kim Kardashian’s Romance with Pete Davidson “Pete Was Terrified Around the Clock”

Kim Kardashian’s brief romance with comedian Pete Davidson, which lasted from November 2021 to August 2022, took place amid her tumultuous divorce from rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye. A recent report from InTouch Weekly has shed light on the strain Kanye’s actions put on the relationship, suggesting that his public threats and harassment ultimately led to its demise.

According to the report, Kanye’s behavior was so intense that it left Pete “terrified” and unable to cope with the stress. A source close to the couple revealed,

“People may not realize it, but they were very much in love. The truth is, Pete didn’t end it because he no longer had feelings for Kim. He simply couldn’t handle the overwhelming pressure and constant scrutiny that came with being involved with her.”

Kim and Kanye, who were married in 2014 and share children together, were in the midst of a messy and highly public divorce during Kim’s relationship with Davidson. Kanye’s persistent taunting, including a physical threat to Pete’s safety in his controversial 2022 song Eazy, which depicted a claymation version of Pete being kidnapped and harmed, contributed to the breakdown of their romance. The music video, which was widely criticized, intensified the emotional toll on Pete.

A source explained, “Kanye absolutely sabotaged their relationship and it worked. Pete was genuinely frightened, feeling unsafe everywhere he went. The anxiety was unbearable for him. He hardly slept and couldn’t go outside without feeling at risk. It was a toxic situation, and he had no choice but to end it to preserve his mental well-being.”

Since their breakup, Pete has dated actress Chase Sui Wonders and has been linked to Madelyn Cline, while Kim was briefly involved with NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. in 2023-24. Pete has continued his work on Saturday Night Live, while Kim remains a central figure on her reality show, The Kardashians, which continues to air new seasons.
