Less than two weeks after making shocking statements in which he openly declared admiration for Adolf Hitler and aligned himself with Nazi ideology Ye formerly known as Kanye West appears to have had a sudden change of heart. In a post shared on his X account on Wednesday, February 19, Ye attempted to distance himself from his own inflammatory remarks stating

“After further reflection, I’ve come to the realization that I’m not a Nazi.”

This reversal has left many questioning the sincerity of his statement. Given his recent history, some believe it to be little more than damage control rather than a genuine shift in perspective. Over the past month, Ye has made headlines for a string of highly offensive and controversial posts, including homophobic slurs, as well as derogatory comments directed at the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh. His actions sparked widespread condemnation across social media and beyond. For more updates check our Youtube channel.

Despite the immense backlash Ye still managed to secure a commercial slot in the Los Angeles area during the Super Bowl. The ad directed viewers to a website that featured a t-shirt displaying a Nazi swastika an act that further inflamed public outrage. The online store hosting the item was swiftly taken down with the webpage now displaying the message “Yeezy stores coming soon.”

Ye’s attempt to distance himself from Nazi ideology does not erase the ongoing legal troubles he faces. A former Jewish employee of his Yeezy brand has filed a discrimination lawsuit against him, alleging that he targeted Jewish employees, subjected them to antisemitic rhetoric, and even went so far as to text her “Hail Hitler” after she confronted him about his statements. She claims she was fired as a result of standing up against his behavior.

Given his pattern of contradictory statements, many remain skeptical about whether Ye’s latest claim of not being a Nazi holds any real weight or if it’s simply another episode in his long history of erratic public behavior.
