Michael B. Jordan’s Damaged Ferrari Is Up For Auction Following Los Angeles Accident. Any automobile with celebrity provenance generally earns a more excellent price on the specialist market than cars owned by ordinary people.
Only one rule applies to souvenirs and other collectibles: the larger the celebrity, the higher the price. The powder blue Ferrari 812 Superfast may be an exception.
This powder blue Ferrari 812 Superfast has a strong celebrity pedigree and is now priced highly cheap. The catch is evident from the story’s headline: the automobile was involved in an accident, and not even minor repairs were performed before the listing went online.
Michael B. Jordan, the beloved actor from the Creed trilogy and the box office success Black Panther, was driving this 2021 Ferrari when he was involved in a two-car accident on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles in early December of last year.
Both his Ferrari and the second vehicle, a blue Kia Niro, were severely damaged, but no one was wounded.
Just a few weeks later, footage surfaced purporting to show Jordan racing his 812 Superfast against a red 488 before losing control and colliding with the passenger side of the Kia, which was parked by the road.
Because of the Ferrari’s speed, the collision was severe enough to break a wheel off and spread debris over the road. There is no indication of whether the driver of the second Ferrari ever turned up in the inquiry.
Meanwhile, authorities have opted not to press charges against the actor, and he has not spoken about the accident or what caused it.
However, the once-powerful 812 Superfast, which Jordan purchased new a few years ago and had been operating on a daily basis, has been sold to an insurance firm, which is now hoping to profit from the association.
The wrecked Ferrari is being sold in its current state on a specialist auction site. That means you’re getting a three-wheeled 812 Superfast with extensive damage to the passenger side and undercarriage, with a pre-accident value of $567,001. The listing does not specify if the automobile starts or operates anymore.
The pre-bidding period concludes on February 8, following which a private auction will take place. Pre-bidding is now set at $107,000, with no reserve to meet.
Jordan is a Ferrari fan, and not only because he formerly had this stunning vehicle in powder blue with a rich crimson interior. In August 2023, he finished a Corso Pilota program with Ferrari, driving a 296 GTB.
The footage he released on social media to commemorate this achievement hasn’t aged well, given that he crashed the 812 Superfast while driving in a straight line.
