Joe Budden is facing a lawsuit from his neighbors, John and Yuliya Aksoy, who claim the podcast host and former rapper engaged in inappropriate behavior by allegedly attempting to enter their home while completely naked. The legal dispute follows previous tensions between Budden and the couple which have now escalated into a formal complaint.
According to a news report the Aksoys have raised multiple concerns about Budden’s behavior, stating that his popular podcast has been a significant disturbance in their residential building. They specifically named Budden, his co host Melyssa Ford, and the building’s condo association in their lawsuit, accusing them of engaging in what they describe as a “campaign of intimidation and retribution.” The couple claims this behavior is in direct response to their repeated complaints about the disruptive nature of Budden’s podcasting activities.
Adding to the controversy, Budden alleged that he had recorded an incident of racism from the Aksoys. However, John Aksoy has told media outlets that he has not heard any such recording.
The lawsuit follows a separate incident that came to light on December 31, revealing that Budden was charged with lewdness earlier in December. The charge stemmed from an incident where the Aksoys reportedly captured footage on their Ring camera, allegedly showing Budden naked outside their home.
In response to the accusations Budden made light of the situation on his podcast, joking that he had been sleepwalking. For more updates check our Youtube channel.
“I just sleepwalked somewhere I shouldn’t have sleepwalked,” he said, adding that he sleeps “butt-ass naked.”
Meanwhile Budden’s attorney, Nima Ameri, has dismissed the lawsuit, calling it a “money grab attempt by a person we believe to be a racist.” As the legal battle unfolds, it remains to be seen how Budden will respond to the claims and whether this dispute will have any impact on his podcasting career.
