Almost a week after Taylor made a surprising announcement of a collaboration with black rappers Ice Spice over “Karma Remix” the theory that she used Ice Spice for damage control still remains strong.
Fans and internet users have accused her of exploiting Ice Spice for “PR” and damage control after her new boyfriend’s racist comments.
Matt Healy, Taylor Swift’s rumored 34-year-old British boyfriend, recently made inappropriate and bizarre comments about Ice Spice on “The Adam Friedland Show.”
The host of the podcast referred to Ice Spice as the “Inuit Spice Girl” and “Chubby Chinese lady” and mimicked her by using Chinese accents. Healy joined in on the disgusting comments. Healy said that he used to masturbate in porn movies that degrade Black women.
Healy then went to double down on his comments made on the podcast.
The Daily Beast reported Jia Tolentino asking Healy about the comments he made at the podcast, to which the controversial singer offered a rather bizarre lopsided explanation, “A little bit, but it doesn’t actually matter. Nobody is sitting there at night slumped at their computer, and their boyfriend comes over and goes, ‘What’s wrong, darling?’ and they go, ‘It’s just this thing with Matty Healy.’ That doesn’t happen.”
“That verse was so bad you can really tell the Karma remix was done last minute for damage control to clear Taylor Swift & her nazy boyfriend image after he said all those racist slurs to Ice Spice. Hope she got a massive cheque though,” one user on Twitter @FdezzGarciiia said.
“Taylor swift doing damage control is so funny because all she had to do was not date a racist,” user Epiphany said.
“Not Taylor Swift teaming up with Ice Spice for a collab. gotta get that damage control in for Matty Healy,” Emily Jane Slade tweeted.
