If Stephen A. Smith had any intention of moving past his now-notorious confrontation with LeBron James he certainly didn’t show it on the latest episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show.

Smith, never one to back down from a debate, made it clear that had things escalated during their face-to-face encounter on March 6 at the Lakers-Knicks game in Los Angeles he wouldn’t have hesitated to swing at LeBron.

“When he approached me courtside, I had no clue he was coming,” Smith stated. “I was sitting there, minding my business, and the next thing I know LeBron James is right in front of me. I had no chance to respond in the moment without making a spectacle”

Ever since Bronny was drafted last summer, whispers of nepotism have followed him. Many analysts and fans have questioned whether he would have made it to the NBA without his father’s influence. Smith has spoken extensively on the topic, but it was his remarks on First Take in January that apparently triggered the current rift.

“I’m pleading with LeBron James, as a father stop this,” Smith had said at the time. “We all know why Bronny James is in the NBA. It’s a great story, a father-son duo playing together, but then reality sets in.”

Beyond his verbal jabs, Smith also suggested that LeBron orchestrated the courtside encounter to ensure it was caught on camera. Breaking down the footage, Smith pointed out that James deliberately looked toward the camera after finishing his remarks.

“He knew I was going to be there. The Lakers keep track of who’s sitting courtside,” Smith explained. “He picked the third quarter, in the middle of the game, when he knew the cameras would be rolling. And then, after speaking to me, he looked straight at the camera. That wasn’t an accident.” For more updates check our Youtube channel.

The tension between Smith and James is far from over. While both men are known for their strong personalities, it’s clear that this verbal battle is only heating up.
