Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s former business partner, has revealed details about his unexpected meeting with President Trump at the NCAA wrestling championships. Archer, who was convicted of securities fraud, said Trump assured him of a full pardon during the event.
“I was sitting in the audience, across the arena, and I saw some Secret Service rumblings, and they walked across the arena like Caesar and essentially pointed at me and said, ‘The president wants to speak to you himself,’” Archer told.
Archer said he climbed over a railing and had a brief conversation with Trump, who gave him “very encouraging words.” He added that the former president’s support gave him hope as he awaits official documents confirming his pardon.
Trump, who previously told reporters he would pardon Archer, criticized the legal system for what he sees as unfair prosecutions. “He was screwed by the Bidens,” Trump said. “They destroyed him like they tried to destroy a lot of people.”
Archer has long claimed he was a victim of the Biden administration’s legal apparatus, which he says targeted him to shield Hunter Biden. He testified before Congress that Joe Biden played a direct role in his son’s business dealings, often using his influence to build connections.
The meeting between Archer and Trump was arranged by Tony Bobulinski, another former Hunter Biden associate who turned whistleblower. Archer said he remains hopeful but is still waiting for official confirmation of his pardon.
The encounter has reignited debates over Trump’s use of pardons, with critics arguing he is rewarding political allies while supporters say he is correcting legal injustices.
