Judge Sets High Bond for Suspects in Fast Food Shootings. After shootings at two northwest Houston fast food outlets, Christian Nwabuisi and Faith Bailey were charged with aggravated felony assault.
During their Tuesday morning court hearings, prosecutors asked large bonds for both accused, citing their community risk. According to Assistant District Attorney Jesse Pence, the defendants pose a threat to the community and should remain in detention until their cases are resolved.
The hearing judge agreed with the prosecution and set Nwabuisi’s bond at $450,000 and Bailey’s at $170,000.
“If the cousins do post bail, the judge ordered them to stay away from each other and stay out of fast food restaurants,” he said.

There was mayhem at a Whataburger off the West Loop and 18th Street on March 2. A manager was injured by 11 Nwabuisi claimed gunfire inside the restaurant. Bailey entered, took an order, and returned with Nwabuisi, who started the shooting, according to surveillance footage.
Bailey complained about an inaccurate app order, starting the fight, according to court filings. This debate turned violent, wounding one manager.
The Whataburger shooting was not isolated. This event was linked to a neighboring Jack in the Box shooting by investigators. After arguing over taco cheese in January, Nwabuisi and Bailey allegedly had another violent drive-thru fight. Bailey threw debris and verbally harassed the workers while Nwabuisi shot 10 rounds through the drive-thru window.
Both suspects posed a major public safety concern, prosecutors said. Bailey’s lawyer tried to distance her from her role, but Pence said, “She is as dangerous to the community as the trigger puller.”
The suspects’ employment and living arrangements were revealed among these distressing revelations. Nwabuisi manages a 7-Eleven, while Bailey works at Circle-K and lives with her grandma.
