Henry Ruggs, Former Raiders Wide-Receiver, Will Plead Guilty in 2021 Fatal Crash Case That Killed a Woman and Her Dog

Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, 24, will plead guilty in a fatal DUI case that resulted in the death of a 23-year-old woman. Ruggs was reportedly driving under the influence at the time of the crash.

Twenty-three-year-old woman Tina Tintor lost her life in the crash. According to police records, Ruggs was driving at a speed of 150 mph with blood-alcohol content twice Nevada’s legal limit when his Toyota RAV4 in the early hours of November 2, 2021, when the crash happened. The deceased Tina Tantor and her dog were burned to death inside their car.

The police report filed at the time described the crash as follows: “Officers located the Toyota on fire. Fire department personnel responded and located a deceased victim inside the Toyota. The preliminary investigation indicates the front of the Chevrolet collided with the rear of the Toyota.”

Ruggs will be spending 10 years a Nevada jail. His attorney confirmed the plea deal.

 

“This is the first step toward a fair resolution to this matter and we look forward to closure for all the parties involved,” attorneys for Ruggs said in a statement on Tuesday.

The attorney said that Ruggs would plead guilty in the next hearing on May 10.
