On October 3, DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., shared the news on Instagram Stories. In his statement, he revealed that after a lot of reflection and deep conversations, they both mutually agreed that separating was the best choice for them. “This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us,” DDG wrote. He expressed how much he valued the time they spent together and the love they shared, despite the difficult decision to go their separate ways.
While the two are no longer romantically involved, DDG was quick to clarify that his feelings for Halle remain strong. He emphasized that their relationship has evolved into something deeper than romance. “We are still best friends and adore each other,” the 26-year-old added. He expressed that as they focus on their individual lives and roles as co-parents, they will continue to cherish the bond they have built and the precious moments they experienced together.
