Elderly man accused of killing wife. Florida police arrested 76-year-old Rollan Powell for fatally shooting his 53-year-old wife in their Tamarac home. Broward County Sheriff’s Office responded to 911 call regarding gunfire at Northwest 45th Court home.
Authorities pronounced the woman deceased at the scene after finding a gunshot wound. Powell was caught less than a week later on charges of planning the murder and staging a burglary to hide it.
